We have an AI system that can speed-read 75,000+ coronavirus research papers and extract the key concepts discussed in each paper, storing those concepts and other data in a fancy database called a Semantic Graph. 

The AI system has the objective of being able to categorise the papers better than traditional search methods for identifying any papers of relevance to a particular research objective and visualising those relationships graphically. 

Further, the Semantic Graph will discover hidden relationships between concepts (e.g. proteins, nucleotide sequences, etc.) and/or entities (the SARS-CoV-2 S glycoprotein, the ACE2 receptor protein, etc.) and automatically join the dots, so to speak. 

In all those research papers there may be clues to a treatment or a vaccine. A human can’t read and remember what’s in 75,000 research papers and join the dots that create new knowledge. An AI system can, with some help from human experts in knowledge transfer and training. We can join the dots.
